São Paulo Metro, the largest in Brazil and the second-largest in Latin America, with around 64 stations and 74 km of tracks, transports over 4 million people daily.

All this data highlights the need for an efficient monitoring system to manage the flow of this extensive network. Following the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil, infrastructure and security projects were intensified to accommodate the influx of tourists. Among these projects, the metro began deploying 400 Axis IP cameras and over 600 analog-to-digital signal converters, enabling rapid response to adverse events.

Today, Axis cameras can be found within the metro trains, and all these cameras send signals to the command center, where they are monitored by multiple operators. Additionally, all video signals are managed by the Intelligent Security Systems (ISS) software, which integrates with Axis equipment.
