For those who missed the first part, we highlight some Axis camera models that were discontinued due to technological advancements and were ultimately replaced by new, modern products featuring the best innovations developed by the Swedish company.

It is important to note that to avoid confusing consumers, Axis includes product upgrade suggestions on the description pages of discontinued products. The IPMarket, an e-commerce specializing in the sale of Axis cameras in Brazil, is also updating its search and product catalog to recommend current IP camera versions when users search for them on the site.

Below, we highlight additional discontinued models and their respective upgrade recommendations:

Axis M3007-PV / M3047-P

We start with the discontinued M3007-PV model, which remains supported by Axis until 2022. The main feature of this model is that it is a dome camera with a 360° panoramic view and up to 5MP resolution (FullHD). This model is ideal for indoor environments and offers a wide field of view, capable of capturing images in stores, hallways, and rooms.

This model was replaced by the M3047-P, which underwent a design update to become more discreet, along with improvements in image capture, reaching up to 6MP resolution (FullHD). The compact and discreet camera lost its vandal-resistant certification compared to the previous version but is fully integrated with Zipstream technology for bandwidth and storage reduction, and supports HDMI for connection to monitors.

Axis M3004-V / M3044-V

With HDTV quality of 720p (1MP), the dome camera M3004-V is designed for indoor environments such as stores, offices, hallways, etc. It features an ultra-discreet design, flexible and reinforced installation, and vandal-resistant capabilities.

The updated model recommended for M3004-V is the M3044-V, which largely retained the same characteristics of the previous model but added innovations such as WDR for capturing images in both bright and dark environments, and Zipstream technology for bandwidth savings.

Axis P1344 / P1354 / P1364 and Axis P1344-E / P1354-E / P1364-E

The P13 series cameras offer excellent image quality, with the updated line featuring HDTV 720P (1MP) resolution. These are PTZ lens cameras designed for indoor environments.

The main change between the P1344 model and the P1354 model was the addition of Axis's Lightfinder technology, which allows better management of ambient lighting.

In the case of the most recent update, the P1364 model, the PTZ camera features were improved by adding WDR for capturing images in bright and dark environments, and the inclusion of Axis Zipstream for bandwidth and storage savings.

For the P1344-E, P1354-E, and P1364-E models, the changes were the same, with the only difference being the environment for which the model was developed. Models ending in -E are designed for outdoor environments.
