The Axis Communications M30 camera line consists of minidomes with multiple configurations designed for high-quality monitoring at an accessible price.
Dome cameras are circular-shaped devices typically used in indoor environments, such as ceilings or walls. Due to their circular design, dome cameras often allow for easy lens mobility to make precise adjustments. Additionally, these cameras can be found for both indoor and outdoor environments.
In this article, we’ll explore the new models in the M30 line in more detail.
M3064-V, M3065-V, M3066-V, and M3075-V
Axis Communications usually identifies the resolution quality and configurations in the camera’s identification number, with the last digit indicating the maximum resolution it supports.
For example, the M3064-V, which ends with a 4, supports a maximum resolution of 1280x720 using the H.264 compression codec. Meanwhile, the M3065-V and M3075-V, both ending with a 5, offer a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. Finally, the M3066-V, ending with a 6, supports a maximum resolution of 2304x1728.
Although the M3065-V and M3075-V share the same resolution configuration, they differ in additional features: the M3065-V includes a slot for a memory card (for local data storage), while the M3075-V features an integrated microphone.
Now that we’ve outlined how to differentiate each model, let’s highlight the configurations they all share. These cameras can be used with both the H.264 compression codec and the more modern H.265 codec, which offers greater compression capacity, resulting in more storage efficiency.
Additionally, the “V” at the end of each camera’s identification code signifies anti-vandal technology, allowing these indoor domes to withstand any potential vandalism.
Lastly, as mini cameras, this line is ideal for discreet monitoring, as the models are unobtrusive.
