On May 14 and 15, 2020, ALAS (Latin American Security Association) held its Digital Fair, which opened discussions on the challenges and impacts of Covid-19 on the security sector in Brazil.

Among the various presentations, the brand HID, a manufacturer of security and access control solutions, invited the integrator SilliS and its client OLOS for a conversation about their innovation project in security and access control using the latest technologies in the market.

OLOS develops differentiated solutions for Contact Centers and for the relationship between companies and clients that combine market experience and vision with innovative technologies to contribute to the prosperity of their clients. The company partnered with SilliS to implement solutions in its new workspace.

Humanized and Secure Service

The goal of the project is to integrate technologies that facilitate visitor access to the new space of OLOS, prioritizing humanized and secure service.

The issue of humanized service is even more important after the recent outbreak of Covid-19 worldwide, where while companies create technological solutions to avoid physical contact, there are also losses in the humanized and personalized experience that result in a disconnection between the host and the visitor.

Technologies that Integrate Solutions

Through the demands presented by the company OLOS, which has an innovative profile in technology development, SilliS, an integrator of CCTV, Access Control, and Network solutions, developed a solution that combines the technology of access control readers from the manufacturer HID and the access management platform called Vault Next.

Among some of the differentiators provided by this solution, there is the possibility of performing biometric reading using surgical gloves, which can prevent physical contact at the time of authentication. Additionally, access can be granted through other means, such as the prior sending of credentials to smartphones that can be validated at kiosks.

The access control management system provided by the Vault Next tool allowed the project greater variety of integrations, such as the video monitoring system and sound alerts implemented by SilliS.

Virtualization of Receptions

Another interesting integration of the project is the virtualization of the reception carried out by OLOS, which developed a holographic system that creates an avatar of the visitor at the time of authentication and directs them to the correct department.

The result of this integration was the ability to manage all access control and video monitoring tools in a single system, allowing OLOS to perform a quick and secure authentication of its visitor and subsequently integrate this information with its video monitoring and PABX system so that the correct people are alerted and the correct doors are opened for this visitor, thus building a personalized and humanized experience in a secure environment.

Solution for Various Types of Projects

The project showcased at the Digital Fair is already available and allows for various implementation paths in different markets, such as in biomedicine and hospitals.

The company OLOS plans to soon inaugurate its virtual reception space for its visitors and provide them with the best personalized service experience in compliance with the restrictions imposed by the Ministry of Health for Covid-19 prevention.
