Cost efficiency is a very important topic for any type of project. However, it is commonly agreed that it is not enough to simply save money by purchasing a cheap product of inferior quality. Nowadays, there are smart and creative ways to manage cost-effective projects without sacrificing product quality, thanks to technological advancements in the production and creation of increasingly intelligent equipment and materials.
This is the case with the new camera from Axis Communications, the P3715-PLVE, which has all the quality of the Axis brand in a device with two cameras that work together in a multidirectional manner.
The P3715-PLVE has many important features that allow it to be used in various environments, including outdoor settings. This equipment enables panoramic monitoring of the area, in addition to having 360º infrared, resistance for outdoor use, and anti-vandal protection with IK10 certification.
The two cameras attached to the P3715-PLVE have a resolution of 2MP at a frame rate of 30fps. The equipment has a manager through a single IP address that allows the camera to be used uniquely or to control both video capture sensors independently, allowing one sensor to capture the entire environment and the other to detect movements with zoom capability.
Thus, when it comes to cost efficiency, this camera with two distinct and varifocal sensors can replace the use of several other cameras while providing the same level of area monitoring coverage. Additionally, being a certified piece of equipment, its durability is long-lasting, allowing for fewer replacements in the long term. Furthermore, although it contains two cameras, its system can be installed with just one POE connection cable and consequently a single software management or video analysis license.
In addition to all these features, the P3715-PLVE has forensic WDR and Lightfinder to improve image quality in environments with shadows or bright light, as well as in low-light conditions. The camera has a slot for direct recording onto a Micro SD card and also features Zipstream to save on video data transmission and storage.
