Recently, Axis Communications, a developer of network surveillance equipment, added the P3925-LRE camera to its portfolio, which was specially designed for external monitoring with a side view in trains, buses, and other means of transportation.

With its compact and robust design, the P3925-LRE complies with transportation industry standards (EN50155 and EN45545-2) and is ready to be installed in outdoor areas, as it has IP66/67, IP6K9K, and IK10+ ratings.

Additionally, it can be installed near doors for monitoring flow and can also be mounted on the ceiling to identify maintenance needs in rolling stock, such as wear on pantograph collector strips.

The equipment allows for camera focus adjustment, with approximately 25° of Pan (horizontal) movement, 0°-15° of Tilt (vertical), and up to 175° of Rotation. It also provides digital PTZ with preset positions.

Like most new Axis camera models, the P3925-LRE features Forensic WDR and Lightfinder technology, which provide us with sharp and colorful HDTV 1080p images. It also has built-in infrared illumination for surveillance in total darkness.

We cannot forget its electronic image stabilization (EIS), which ensures stable video, as its use is subject to vibrations, and its shock detection alerts you if the camera is hit.

To ensure the safety of its users, the camera provides a cybersecurity feature that prevents unauthorized access, the Signed Firmware. This ensures that only authorized firmware is installed. Additionally, the model has Secure Boot, which guarantees that the camera is free from malware if the user changes the factory settings.
